Deutsch: de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver (s/n 51-16856), bei USAF und US ARMY als L-20A, und ab 1962 als U-6A bezeichnet. Leichtes Transport-, Verbindungs- und Beobachtungsflugzeug des kanadischen Flugzeugherstellers de Havilland of Canada Ltd. Von 1947 bis 1967 wurden über 1600 Exemplare gebaut. Für die USAF und US ARMY wurden von 1952 bis Ende 1960er Jahre 968 Maschinen geliefert. Das Verbindungsflugzeug mit Kurzstart-(STOL-)Eigenschaften war in den 1950er - 1960er Jahren v. a. in Hessen, Baden-Württemberg und Bayern regelmäßig während und nach Manövern der US ARMY anzutreffen. Das meist sehr tief fliegende, laut brummende Hochdecker-Propellerflugzeug wurde von der Bevölkerung oftmals als "Fieseler Storch" angesprochen, obwohl man wusste, dass es sich um ein US-amerikanisches Flugzeugmodell handelt, die tatsächliche Typenbezeichnung war i. a. R. nicht bekannt. Die de Havilland Canada L-20A bzw. U-6A war im o. g. Zeitraum auch in USAFE Giebelstadt AB oftmals zu Gast.
