Description

de Havilland D.H.82 Tiger Moth (model) During the WWII one Tiger Moth of the Norwegian airforce landed to Petsamo in Finland at the Ylaluostari airport and it was internated. Afterwards it was painted in the colours of the Finnish airforce and it was used as a liaison aircraft to the end of 1944. In the airforce service it was registered as MO-159. Nowadays the MO-159 is in private ownership and its register is OH-XLA.

A picture is about a model of the MO-159 in the Finnish war time airforce colours. The blue swastika (1918-1944) was a symbol of luck adopted by a Swedish count von Rosen, who donated in spring 1918 first aircraft of the Finnish airforce.
