Description
English: View of the snow-covered former Municipal Library from the Nieuwemarkt. The former library is now used by the Erasmus University. On the Nieuwemarkt stands 'De Maagd van Holland', one of the few statues that survived World War II.
Nederlands: Zicht op de besneeuwde voormalige Gemeentebibliotheek vanaf de Nieuwemarkt. De voormalige bibliotheek wordt nu gebruikt door de Erasmus Universiteit. Op de Nieuwemarkt staat 'De Maagd van Holland', een van de weinige standbeelden die de Tweede Wereldoorlog heeft doorstaan.
