Description LAKE COUNTY, California – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors continue to remove debris in Lake County as part of the mission to oversee the clearing of residential properties, Jan. 7. This is the first step in the rebuilding process for the community after the devastating October 2017 Northern California wildfires, which effected Sonoma, Napa, Lake and Mendocino counties. USACE, under the direction of FEMA, is managing phase 2 of the Consolidated Debris Removal Program to remove non-household hazardous waste. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Carol E.
