Rick Nash, commanding general, Multinational Division South, places a coin at the foot of a display during a memorial service honoring three soldiers assigned to the 34th Infantry Division's 34th Military Police Company, Special Troops Battalion, July 20, 2009. The three were killed in action as the result of a rocket attack on Contingency Operating Base Basra, Iraq, July 16, 2009. The soldiers honored in the ceremony were Army Spc. Daniel P. Drevnick, 22, a military policeman and native of St. Paul, Minn., Spc. James D. Wertish, a military policeman and native of Redwood Falls, Minn. and Spc. Carlos E. Wilcox, a platoon medic and native of Golden Valley, Minn. The soldiers were assigned to the 34th Infantry Division's 34th Military Police Company, Special Troops Battalion. |
