| Description |
English: Defunct Timber Yard at Tollgate House Farm, Bishop's Waltham Tollgate House, just visible in the distance to the left of the corrugated iron roof, has been derelict for many years. It is right on the B2177 and presumably was a toll gate at some time. The timber yard has only ceased functioning in the past year or two. Photographer is standing on the substantial tree trunk that was employed instead of an entrance gate, it being too heavy to shift without a JCB. Expect housing on this site eventually. |
