English: Summary: This video file has been kindly licensed under CC 3.0 by its author, Raag Dar Airan PH.D., MIT graduated and now at Stanford University, perfoming a research founded by the NIMH, in which you can see a new technique, reported online in July 5, 2007 in Science Express. By this technique brain activity can be filmed in real time. The file shows how a rat brain dentate gyrus (hippocampus) activates in response to pulses of electrical stimulation.
