Summary edit

Description Demolition of Circus Street Municipal Market, Circus Street, Brighton, City of Brighton and Hove, England. Circus Street Municipal Market was built by Brighton Corporation in 1937 after slum clearance in the area immediately east of Grand Parade. One of the buildings cleared was the former Sussex Street Strict Baptist Chapel, which had latterly been a mission hall operated by St Margaret's Church. The market itself was demolished in 2015; work continued for some time after that.
