Pina Bausch - Tanztheater Wuppertal - Der Fensterputzer Nederlands: Onverwacht en welgekomen is het Tanztheater Wuppertal van Pina Bausch terug te gast in deSingel! ‘Der Fensterputzer’, gecreëerd in 1997 tijdens een residentie in Hong Kong, ademt de sfeer uit van deze Aziatische metropool. Het stuk balanceert tussen vrolijkheid en vitaliteit, en milde, ontspannen sereniteit. Zachte Chinese melodieën vermengen zich met melancholische fado’s. Het decor bestaat uit een reusachtige, bewegende berg rode klaprozen. In de hoogte ontwaart men een glazenwasser, die torenhoog en ongestoord als een vergeten engel aan het werk is. Het stuk eindigt in een processie waarin de dansers steeds opnieuw de berg op- en afwandelen. Het leven gaat door, waar ook ter wereld. ‘Der Fensterputzer’: een ontmoeting met de elementaire kracht van poëzie, geritmeerd door de grote dame van het Europese danstheater. Le spectacle balance entre une gaieté débordante de vitalité et une délicatesse toute empreinte de sérénité. Les douces mélodies chinoises alternent avec les fados mélancoliques. Le décor se compose d'une gigantesque montagne mouvante de coquelicots. Tout là-haut, comme un ange oublié, un laveur de vitres continue imperturbablement son travail. Le spectacle se termine par une procession dans laquelle les danseurs gravissent et descendent inlassablement la montagne. La vie continue, toujours, partout au monde. Subdued Chinese melodies combine with melancholy fado. The set comprises a gigantic moving mountain of red poppies. Higher up one discerns a window-cleaner, working sky-high and undisturbed like a forgotten angel. The piece ends with a procession in which the dancers walk up and down the mountain over and over again. Life goes on, everywhere in the world.
