    • See BDM Summer Uniforms and BDM Winter Uniforms at bdmhistory.com, and Hitler Youth Uniforms at histclo.com
  • Fashion illustration from the 1940/41 edition of Der Goldene Schnitt : Lehrwerk zur Selbstausbildung im Zuschneiden, a German language self-sewing (tailoring) book published by Verlag »Der Goldene Schnitt«' Wien IV, Johann-Strauß-Gasse 4, Austria.
    • The book showcases 300 clothing models (Modelle), including garments for women, men, and children, along with their cutting patterns (Schnittvorlagen, Schnittmuster). Developed in 1930s Germany, the Lutterloh system is a pattern-drafting system designed for home sewing that uses personal measurements to enlarge mini-patterns into full-size patterns. The Lutterloh company's pattern book, based on their "Der Goldene Schnitt" ("The Golden Ratio") system, was popular among housewives who sewed clothing for their families. To use the system, one needs the company's special measuring tape to copy the small patterns and create an individualized pattern. The Lutterloh company continues to publish patterns based on their system to this day.
