Description
Deutsch: Skulptur vom Sensentod an dem Eingangstor zu Kirche und Friedhof in Gorsleben, versehen mit einer kleinen Sonnenuhr: "Der Tod von Gorsleben". Sie wurde um 1696 auf Anregung durch den Ortspfarrer Christian Webel, dessen junge Frau gerade verstorben war, durch den Gorslebener Steinmetz Andreas Bornus geschaffen.
English: Sculpture from the so called "Sensentod" a Grim Reaper at the entrance to the church and cemetry of Gorsleben. It also includes a sun-watch. It was built in 1696 after the young wife of the local priest (Christian Webel) died, by the stonecutter Andreas Bornus.
