Description
Español: El descenso folklorico del rio Nalón en la localidad de la Pola de Laviana (Asturias) es una de las mejores representaciones culturales y festivas de todo un pueblo, Reúne a miles de personas jóvenes y mayores de toda una comarca en defensa de su tradición de cultura popular y fiestas.

Es una fiesta abierta a todos los visitantes que quieran participar en conocer una rica y distinta fiesta. Representa además de ser parte de las fiestas locales el esfuerzo colectivo de ingenio y gracia, la lucha con el rio, la música, la comedia, la escenografía y los cantos acompañan a este evento. Las peñas, los vecinos y amigos se disfrazan y crean sus propias embarcaciones, con mucho humor y diversión creando un desfile de carrozas por el pueblo y que terminan bajando y surcando el río Nalón, luchando por conseguir el trofeo de la tan deseada sopera.

El descenso del rio Nalón es un festival lúdico que se lleva realizando durante cincuenta años.
