English: Descent of the monkey Jacopo in a parachute from Green's Balloon. Several balloon ascensions featuring parachuting monkeys occurred at Cremorne Gardens. In May 1835, Mr. Green staged a performance at Cremorne in which a monkey named Signor Jacopo descended in a parachute from his balloon. Signor Jacopo was also featured in an ascent by Mr. and Mrs. Graham at Cremorne on May 16, 1837. |
