| Description | This picture of a section of the sign you saw in the previous picture shows four immaculately turned out locomotives in the steam loco shed just outside Toronto Union station with the Royal York Hotel in the background. Notes about the Toronto Union station as well as the Royal York Hotel appeared earlier in his album. Although still a grand edifice, passenger services have declined a great deal and Union is now essentially mostly a commuter train terminus. The few long distance trains that do leave here are a mere 3 - 5 cars long. Sad. (Toronto, Canada, Nov.2015) |
