Summary edit

Description
English: Enlarged frontal view of a spider (genus Dysdera crocata) set on a layer of moss with outstretched legs. This image shows the spider's body, its 6 eyes in a compact hexagonal arrangement, the inner parts of all 8 legs, the pedipalps, and the massive chelicerae with strands of secretions stretched between. The magnification ratio of this crop as compared to a full frame sensor is approx.2.8:1, i.e. 2.8x; the width of the image being approx. 13 mm. A total of 293 images was processed as a HiRes focus stack.

NOTE: This image is a focus stacked image of "Enlarged frontal view of a spider (genus Dysdera crocata)" consisting of 293 images that were merged using Zerene Stacker Version 1.04 Build T2022-04-21-0715 (licensed). As a result, this image underwent digital manipulation which may have included blending, blurring, cloning, and colour and perspective adjustments. As a result of these adjustments, the image content may be slightly different than reality at the points where the images were combined. This manipulation is often required due to lens, perspective, and parallax distortions.
