Rank insignia on cloth patch sewn to lower left sleeve of service uniform jacket, showing a stylised German state eagle (Reichsadler) combined with a swastika, adopted as national emblem (Hoheitszeichen) by the Nazis in 1935, etc. (see "State Organizations Collar Tab and Shoulder Board Identification Guide" at germandaggers.com.)
