Description
English: Development of Bishnupriya Manipuri creole language from Bengali language and Meitei language (officially known as Manipuri language) as per the research results of several renowned international linguists including Shobhana Chelliah, Colin Masica, William Frawley, besides others. At the same time, very close to the former research conclusion, many linguists include Bishnupriya as a dialect of Bengali language. This is commented by Padma Vibhushan awardee Indian linguist Dr. Suniti Kumar Chatterji, Padma Shri awardee Indian scholar Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra, besides others.
