| Description |
English: Site of Devonport Kings Road station, 1991. View on Kings Road at Rectory Road by the College of Further Education: Plymouth to left, St Budeaux to right. The ex-LSWR station here ('Devonport Kings Road' from 26/9/49) was closed to passengers 7/9/64 along with the ex-LSW line between St Budeaux and Devonport Junction. (Passenger services through to Plymouth Friary had ceased as early as 15/9/58 and the ex-LSWR lines from Exeter etc. via Okehampton were all closed in the next few years, leaving only the Gunnislake (formerly Callington) branch service via Bere Alston to Plymouth to take the ex-GWR route in from St Budeaux). |
