Summary edit

Description
English: Dew on Scarlet Sheetweb Weaver (Florinda coccinea) web, Julie Metz Wetlands, Woodbridge, Virginia.

Dew is water that has condensed onto objects near the ground when their temperatures have fallen below the dew point of the surface air. This Scarlet Sheetweb Weaver's web is covered with dew.

Place: Julie Metz Wetlands, Woodbridge, Virginia Date: September 29, 2013

This tiny spider, about 3.5 mm., weaves a complex sheet web. This picture only shows about a third of the web. It's amazing to think of one spider putting out this much silk.
