| Description |
English: Dharamshala (Rest House for pilgrims), Haridwar.
Noticeable for its rare use to rich blue paint, common in Rajasthan, rarely seen in modern constructions. Plus the awnings held with bamboo poles, were common features in 19th century markets all over India, but now seldom seen in modern parts of the city. A recent blue coat of the upper floor walls have faded away to reveal the original pink colour, reminiscent of Jaipur walls, perhaps the building originally belonged to someone from the region. |
