Summary

edit
Description Native, yearlong-green, perennial, low-growing herb, to 4 cm tall and with creeping stems that root at the nodes. Leaves are kidney-shaped and slightly to densely hairy. A minor component in pastures, woodlands and forests. Grows where bare ground is available and/or competition is reduced. Most abundant in shaded areas where it can form a short dense groundcover. A useful replacement for grasses in such areas.
