Description
Deutsch: Aus dem Archiv: Die russische Raumstation MIR in der letzten Ausbaustufe, aufgenommen vom Space Shuttle Orbiter Atlantis. Der seit 1986 im All befindliche Hauptteil (Basis Block) ist im Orbit um 5 Module erweitert worden: Kvant 1987, Kvant 2 1989, Kristall 1990, Spektr 1995 und Priroda 1996. Ein Schleusenadapter für das Andocken des Space Shuttle Orbiters an Kristall kam 1995 hinzu. Die Station umkreist die Erde 16mal pro Tag in 350 bis 400 km Höhe mit einer Bahnneigung (Inklination) von 51,6 Grad zum Äquator.
