Description
Deutsch: Heckrinder und Graugänse (Anser anser) im Naturschutzgebiet „Dankmarshäuser Rhäden“ im thüringischen Wartburgkreis. Der Bereich gehört auch zum FFH-Gebiet DE-5026-305 „Dankmarshäuser Rhäden“ und zum EU-Vogelschutzgebiet DE-5127-401 „Werra-Aue zwischen Breitungen und Creuzburg“.
Die „Wilden Weiden“ sind ein Projekt im Dankmarshäuser Rhäden, zu dessen Verwirklichung Stiftung Naturschutz Thüringen, NABU Thüringen, Agrargenossenschaft, Gemeinde und Verein für Naturschutz und Landschaftspflege Dankmarshausen, Thüringer Landesanstalt für Umwelt und Geologie, Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft und Untere Naturschutzbehörde Wartburgkreis beigetragen haben. Exmoorponys und Taurusrinder beweiden seit 2015 den Rhäden. Sie sollen die natürliche Strukturvielfalt des großen Feuchtgebietes bereichern und dazu beitragen die Artenvielfalt dieses Schutzgebietes zu erhalten. Der Freistaat Thüringen hat mit Fördermitteln der EU (ELER) dieses Projekt ermöglicht.
