Description
Deutsch: Landschaftsschutzgebiet „Umflutehle-Külzauer Forst“ und Biosphärenreservat Mittelelbe: Die winterliche Ehle bei Gerwisch in ihrem natürlichen Bett. 500 m flußabwärts beginnt die geradlinige, vor reichlich 100 Jahren vorgenommene Kanalisierung des letzten Fluss-km bis zur Mündung in die Elbe. Seit 2014 wird am Beginn der Kanalisierung ein Teil des Ehlewassers etwa einer ursprünglichen Flutrinne folgend, in die Alte Elbe bei Lostau - einem bislang "toten" Elbarm - abgeleitet und dieser nun wieder von Frischwasser durchströmt.
