Description

Ball-and-stick model of a diiodoacetylene molecule, C2I2, from the crystal structure reported in Cryst. Growth Des. (2020) 20, 7104-7110 (CSD entry DIACET01). The structure was first determined in Acta Cryst. B (1972) 28, 1989-1994 (CSD entry DIACET).

Colour code:

  Carbon, C: grey
  Iodine, I: purple
Model manipulated in Avogadro 1.2 and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
