Dinan (Côtes-d'Armor) La Sous-Préfecture. La Sous-Préfecture se compose de deux bâtiments : Le Château-Ganne, construit à la fin du XIXe siècle et un bâtiment administratif datant des années 70. Sur l’arrière du Château-Ganne, le jardin boisé mène jusqu’à un point de vue sur le vieux port de Dinan, le viaduc et la vallée de la Rance. Le château Ganne fut construit en pierre de tuffeau, dans le style Second Empire, par Henri Flaud, industriel et député-maire de Dinan à l’époque. C'est le seul bâtiment de Dinan construit en tuffeau calcaire. Henri Flaud aurait choisi le nom du château en l'honneur d'une des premières châtelaines de Dinan, Ganna. Natif de Dinan (en 1816), Henri Flaud était ingénieur des Arts et Métiers d'Angers. Il créa en 1844, à Paris, une usines de pompes à feu. Il s'associa avec l'ingénieur de Centrale H. Giffard pour mettre au point le premier moteur à vapeur pour ballon dirigeable. Il équipa également d'un moteur à vapeur le yacht de Napoléon III, l'Aigle. Pendant la guerre de 1870, ses usines fabriqueront de l'armement. Il décède à Dinan en 1874. Flaud était également un homme politique, il sera député, centre-droit-orléaniste, des Côtes-du-Nord, en 1871, maire et conseiller général de Dinan. |
