Summary
editDescriptionDistressing table gild.jpg |
English: A table in the process of antiquing. Gold paint has been applied to the carved details to resemble gilding and highlight the detail. Distressing has been applied to the gold paint to tone down the colour and give an antique appearance. A chemical stripper is on the surface of the table top, dissolving the varnish; when the stripper and varnish residue is removed, the top will have a wood stain applied to it to give it a timeworn, antique appearance. |
