Si las depresiones que se aplican a la carrocería delantera generan fuerza hacia adelante, este no es el caso de las depresiones sobre la parte trasera de la carrocería, que generan resistencia.
Las depresiones que se aplican a la parte delantera del capó generan fuerzas hacia adelante que tienden a compensar las fuerzas de presión creadas por el Cp positivo existente en la calandra.
El exceso de presión en la parte inferior del parabrisas genera resistencia; sin embargo, este arrastre tiende a ser compensado por la depresión existente en la parte superior del parabrisas así como en la parte delantera del techo del vehículo.

Los Cp que se muestran aquí se aplican a toda la base del vehículo (la cara del maletero hacia la parte trasera): por lo tanto, generan la llamada resistencia de "base".
