English: The Para district is located in the north between 4.98° and 5.70° N and in the west between 54.58° and 55.98° W. The district borders Saramarcca, Wanica and Commewijne to the north, Sipaliwini to the west, Sipaliwini and Brokopondo to the south, and Marowijne and Sipaliwini to the east. The main town is Onverwacht in the Para-Zuid resort, where the police station and other services are located. Para has a total area of 5,393 km2 and is divided into 5 administrative districts:
Para North, Para East, Para South, Bigi Poika, Carolina.
