English: Disused Quarry Track, Strangstry Wood I was able to follow the course of this old track, which here is running to the left of the fence and alongside it, from the railway in the valley up to a disused quarry in the woods. Sadly, here it lies inside the fenced-off area of the 20th century Shale quarry. The 1:50,000 OS map requires revision at this location, since the shale quarry has encroached further into the area of woodland. The 1:25,000 OS series map shows the boundary accurately. |
