Description
English: Disused arsenic flue, Blanchdown Wood, 1978. Run of arsenic flue to the chimney (pictured separately for this grid square). Arseno pyrites ore was crushed and burnt and the residue were later scraped from the flues as powdered arsenic. Nice work if you could get it. The workings ceased in the early 20th century.
