Description
English: Two times did I walk the stretch of walls on the south side of the Inner Fortress. At that time (2007 and 2010) there was a whole, lively neighbourhood (lots of swimming) on either side that since disappeared. So these pictures are “historical”, though pretty recent. I took pictures to all sides, so some to the side of the Hazreti Süleyman Mosque, the Inner Fortress and such, others to the rest of town or the fields outside the town. I think I started at or near the Saray Kapı, walked east, then had to return to where I got on. Where I took a picture can generally be reconstructed looking at the still existing landmarks. I add some pictures to categories pertaining to those.
