Description
English: Dolmancha among the cluster of 14 charchala temples in Kalitala area of Gonpur or Ganpur in Birbhum district. As per foundation stone the temple was built in 1182 Bangabda or 1775 AD. These temples were built in mid 18th century by local Chowdhury family. Many of them has foundation stone of which only a few showcase the foundation year. On Eastern side there are 7 temples, on western side there are 4 temples, on northern side there are 3 temples and a dolmancha and the southern side there is a solitary dochala temple. The temples are decorated with motifs made of soft phool pathar stones which is often mistaken as terracotta.
