Summary
editDescriptionDomen Giw tumulus - geograph.org.uk - 605100.jpg |
English: Domen Giw tumulus The low mound in the centre of this picture, bisected by the modern fence which separates improved pasture from rough moorland grazing, is the tumulus known as Domen Giw. A description of Domen Giw (or Domen y Giw) in the Montgomeryshire Collections of 1868 suggests the tumulus might have been a beacon station, because of the panoramic long-distance views provided by its commanding position at around 450m. |
