Description
Don M Casto (2/14/1898-9/17/1963) was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Frank and Grace (McCormick) Casto. He came to Columbus with his parents in 1912 and graduated from North High School in 1917. He served in World War I and upon his return to Columbus, attended Ohio State University. He married Ruth Strait in 1921. He became engaged in real estate and was associated with the King Thompson Company until 1921. In 1923, he established his own company. In 1949, he built Town and Country Shopping Center, one of the first regional shopping centers in the United States.
