Double sided ha-ha at Melford Hall, Suffolk. The wall is nearly invisible when looking from either side, giving the impression of an open sweep of countryside uncluttered with man-made structures. In actuality, the sunken wall both keeps out animals from the house surrounds, and prevents house pets from roaming.
