| Description |
English: Double relief, marble. Work of a Parian workshop. Probably female figure on the side (strongly eroded) is indicative of the use of the plaque as funerary stele in Late Archaic times, 500-490 BC. The architectural relief on the other side testified to the secondary use of the plaque as an architrave of a small, temple-like, probably funerary, monument in Helenistic times. Surface find from the Langada area, Aigiale on Amorgos. Archaeological Collection of Amorgos, Inv. No. 50.
Čeština: Dvojitý reliéf. Mramor, práce dílny na Paru. Pravděpodobně ženská postava na jedné straně (silně erodované) ukazuje na použití jako pohřební stéla v pozdně archaické době, asi 500-490 před n. l. Architektonický reliéf na druhé straně svědčí o druhotném použití desky jako architrávu malého chrámu, pravděpodobně pohřebního, nebo památníku, a to v helenistické době. Povrchový nález z oblasti Lagada, Aigialé na Amorgu. Archeologická kolekce na Amorgu, inv. č. 50. |
