Description

Calculated intensity distribution behind a double pinhole illuminated by a plane monochromatic, fully coherent X-ray wave with a wavelength of 0.1 nm (photon energy 12.389 keV).

The diameter of each pinhole is 2.5 µm. The spacing between the two pinholes is 10 µm. (center-to-center).

The image shows the intensity distribution at a distance z=0.1 mm from the double pinhole, using a logarithmic scale of gray values. The pixel size is 10 µm, the field of view thus 50 µm ×50 µm .

The image was calculated with the XWFP computer code (T. Weitkamp, Proceedings SPIE 5536 (2004) 181-189), using a Fresnel propagation kernel in paraxial approximation.
