From the continuation of the same magazine article in the next month’s issue: “The ‘Shooting Star’ was also caught on a Carbutt plate, and with a tripod camera. It shows a well-known athlete of Washington city, who is also an enthusiastic amateur photographer, making his perilous descent of the Capitol steps. It will be observed that the Star is caught in mid air while bounding from the edge of one step to that of the one next lower.”
