English: Down the Wigan Flight-09 Lock 69 from the side of Kirkless Hall Bridge. The locks are closed to navigation throughout most of the winter, during which one or other of the 21 locks is usually receiving attention - new gates, for instance. British Waterways staff keep an eye on things in the meantime. |
