Français : Dr. Leopold Reinecke conduisant un chariot sur la route Cariboo, Colombie-Britannique
Description
English: Dr. Leopold Reinecke, Geologist of the Geological Survey, Canada, driving the Survey team and wagon down the steep zig-zag part of Caribou road on the north side of Pavillon Mountain, just above the lower end of Kelley lake, British Columbia. The wagon is an old stage coach, and the horses were stage horses. Chrome is the horse on the right, Silver the one on the left. Note the tree tied on behind. It is unsafe to depend on only the neck yoke, and the break in driving down the hill. (From Harlan Ingersoll Smith's notes)
