Robert Gafford with Cardiovascular Reflex Conditioning System

Dr. Robert "Bob" Gafford, a project manager for Beckman Instruments, holds a Cardiovascular Reflex Conditioning System. This instrument was used aboard at least one of the Project Gemini manned spaceflights in 1965-1966 in an experiment to test whether blood circulation in astronauts' feet and legs could be artificially stimulated.
