Summary edit

Description

A flashlight under a plate of graphite schist material is shining through translucent garnets. Well-prepared specimens are from Red Embers Mine, Erving Massachusetts USA. Newly acquired samples are in the collection of the Canadian Museum of Nature. Hopefully their bigger piece with 20 glowing garnets will soon be displayed.

Geotagged location is CMN's Archives in Gatineau Quebec.
