Summary
editDescriptionDragon on side of old Japanese trolleybus being used as public art in Mexico City (2012).jpg | Dragon on side of old Japanese trolleybus being used as public art in Mexico City in 2012. This is the forward portion of the bus's right side. The old trolleybus, formerly used on the Kanden Tunnel trolleybus line in Japan and donated to Mexico City's STE in the mid-1990s, was later one of a few retired trolleybuses (mostly of the same type) kept semi-permanently parked in locations around Colonia Roma Norte and used as canvasses for public art. The government of Cuauhtémoc borough (Delegación Cuauhtémoc) hired artists to paint the vehicles periodically, and the designs changed every few months. |
