Description
English: Drawing by Meissonnier of the new throne for John V of Portugal, destroyed in the Lisbon earthquake in 1755. This throne was in Silver-gilt, with winged dragons, the heraldic symbol of the House of Braganza, and the arms of Portugal supported by two allegorical statues, Europe and America.
