| Description |
English: Dredging operations This is the point where the dredgers come to have their "cargo" offloaded. The crane takes the dredgings and places them to the right of the towpath. A 300 metre section of the river bank has been used over the last few years. The earlier workings have dried out and are now supporting new plant life.
This is an artificial section of the River Bure, cutting off a half mile loop to the south (left) which is now a wetland nature reserve. |
