English: Driveway to sewage (?) works, Back Lane, Whitley Lower The works is captioned 'sewage works' on the OS Explorer map, but I always thought it was a water treatment works. It is round the corner to the left, and the Maps Live bird's eye view shows that it has circular filter beds and a large building. The grass across the drive can perhaps be explained by the caption 'cattle grid' on the OS map; it is now superseded by the gate and might have filled with soil. |
