We eventually found a large garden restaurant about 5km away from Lahic (same situation as to what happened to me in Kazbegi/ Stepantsminda in Georgia last year). And so after a rather late lunch, it was time for the long haul back to Baku. We were all much more relaxed now- we had eaten, and emptied our bladders and were back in the cool air-con interiors of our trusty (if at times under powered) Hyundai Accent, so back to Baku we go! Here is a view of the deep valley alongside the road taken from the car. I could not photograph it on the way in as it had been on the other side, and a large boxy cushion cum hand rest between the left and right windows on the rear seat meant I could not move over to the other side to take a picture.(Lahic/ Lahij, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017) |
