| Description | Breda-built dual-mode bus 5024, of Seattle's Metro Transit, at Convention Place station of the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel, on the first day of service in the tunnel (and at this station), September 15, 1990. The view is from the plaza above, and No. 5024 was on one of the station's middle roadways. It was starting a trip on an unnumbered shuttle route that was providing supplementary service in the tunnel at that time; its driver had not yet changed the destination sign when this photo was taken, so it was still reading "Convention Pl." (Note: Metro was not yet part of King County government at that time.) |
