| Description |
English: Dudley Road School, Wolverhampton The school was opened in 1875, and closed in 1986. I remember in the early 1980s it was being used as an excellent language centre for teaching English and reading/writing to children of non-English speaking families, and other children with reading difficulties. I believe it was closed because it was costing too much to do a valuable and well structured job properly. The building is now "listed" and used as a community centre.
